Foal Play Available in Large Print!

Foal Play Center Point cover

I’m thrilled that FOAL PLAY is now available to readers from Center Point in a large print version!  Isn’t the cover beautiful?  It reminds me of Corolla, North Carolina when I first starting visiting years ago.  Readers can place pre-orders for the large print/library version now at Center Point, Bethany Beach Books (an amazing independent bookstore!), Books-A-Million or Amazon.  This version will be out on October 1, 2013!

Kathryn at Duck book signing

The signing at Island Bookstore in Duck, NC

On June 19 and 20, I was thrilled to return to North Carolina’s Outer Banks for signings at the Duck and Corolla locations of Island Bookstore.  It was fun meeting vacationers who share my love of the Outer Banks.  I even got to meet one of Corolla’s wild horses compliments of the Corolla Wild Horse Fund.  Special thanks to bookstore owners Bill and Ursula Rickman and their staff for hosting the signings in their lovely stores.  If you’re planning a trip to the Outer Banks, stop by Island Bookstore and the Corolla Wild Horse Fund and say hello.

On June 25, the Fairfax Regional Library invited me to speak about FOAL PLAY, the writing process, and my other works.  Friends, new and familiar, came by to say hi.  It was great to have fellow mystery writers Barb Goffman and Sherry Novinger Harris in attendance and wonderful to hear their insights on writing.  Thanks to Susan at the library and Terry of One More Page Books for organizing such a nice event.

I ended the month with another trip to the beach… this time to Chincoteague, Virginia – home of Misty!  Jon and Jane Richstein at Sundial Books were warm and friendly and did a wonderful job publicizing the June 29 signing at their incredible bookstore.  I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by to chat or have a book signed.  Looking forward to meeting more new people and doing more signings in July!  Happy July 4th!

Jessica Sinn of Chick Lit Cafe Reviews Foal Play

“Colleen embodies everything I love in a female protagonist.  She’s fearless, strong-willed, witty – and an animal lover to boot…. If you love animals, charming small-town settings and entertaining characters, this book’s for you.” – Jessica Sinn, Chick Lit Cafe  Read the full review at Chick Lit Cafe

Anne Bendheim of Asbury Park Press Reviews Foal Play

“Ingredients for an auspicious murder-mystery debut: two suspicious dead bodies, an explosion, wild horses, unwanted romantic passes and lighthouse lurking.  Add a splash of humor and a border collie named Sparky, and you’ve got a great way to kick off the summer reading season.” – Anne Bendheim, Asbury Park Press

Lesa Holstine of Lesa’s Book Critiques Reviews Foal Play

“Corolla comes beautifully to life with its beach setting and the magnificent wild horses of the islands… I love catching the start of a new traditional series.  And, you can’t go wrong with the mysteries that win the Malice Domestic awards.  Welcome Kathryn O’Sullivan’s Foal Play to the field.” – Lesa Holstine, Lesa’s Book Critiques
