I’m thrilled that FOAL PLAY is now available to readers from Center Point in a large print version! Isn’t the cover beautiful? It reminds me of Corolla, North Carolina when I first starting visiting years ago. Readers can place pre-orders for the large print/library version now at Center Point, Bethany Beach Books (an amazing independent bookstore!), Books-A-Million or Amazon. This version will be out on October 1, 2013!
Turn the Page Bookstore event with Kristan Higgins, Mary Blayney, Nora Roberts, Kathryn O’Sullivan, Deanna Raybourn & Laura Kaye
On July 13, I was honored to participate in a signing event at Turn the Page Bookstore in Boonsboro, Maryland with accomplished writers Nora Roberts, Mary Blayney, Laura Kaye, Kirstan Higgins and Deanna Raybourn. Thanks, ladies, for making this new author feel so welcome and to all the readers I met who had such lovely comments about FOAL PLAY.
Greenbelt gals at the Greenbelt Library
On July 15, I was delighted to return to my hometown of Greenbelt, Maryland for a talk and signing at the Greenbelt Library. Much to my surprise, many of my high school girlfriends showed up! Many of us hadn’t seen one another in decades. Thanks, Ginger, Adrienne, Carole, Diane, Carla, Becky, Bobby Bodner, Mrs. Bodner, Mr. and Mrs. Craig and the wonderful readers in the audience for making the night so special. Marsha and Elizabeth at the library did an amazing job organizing the event. Special thanks to Pat Darby at Novel Places for providing books for sale. Y’all are the best!
My colleague Charlie and his wife Denise were on vacation and surprised me at Bethany Beach Books
The last stop on my signing tour was on July 30 at Bethany Beach Books. What a charming beach community and bookstore! I had a delightful time meeting all the vacationers and even ran into a teaching colleague and his wife while they were on vacation. Special thanks to Nancy and Jackie at Bethany Beach Books for their incredible book display, publicity, and continued support of writers. Definitely a bookstore and beach worth checking out!
The end of July and early August brought more THURSTON filming with Native actors Autumn Custalow Alfaro and Enrico Nassi joining the cast to play Inolah and Benjamin Walkingstick. I’m thrilled that the Cherokee storyline is now a part of the show and can’t wait until the new episodes air this fall. Stay tuned for more big casting news by following the show’s website or liking it on Facebook!
